Project 1: Ending FGM in Masimera & Koya Chiefdoms
Overview:
This project seeks to empower school clubs, practitioners, and community leaders to actively promote the abandonment of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) by encouraging Alternative Rites of Passage (ARP).
Duration: August – November 2025
Location: Masimera & Koya Chiefdoms, Port Loko District
Objectives:
o Strengthen school clubs of influence to spread anti-FGM messages.
o Train FGM practitioners in preparation for their public declarations.
o Engage chiefs and community leaders to promote ARP.
Key Activities:
o Refresher training for 50 school clubs.
o Training for 60 FGM practitioners.
o Stakeholder engagement sessions.
Beneficiaries: School clubs, practitioners, chiefs, and wider communities.
Expected Outcomes: Increased awareness and support for ARP, with a reduction in FGM practices.

Project 2: Strengthening FAHP for FGM Coordination
Overview:
Focused on uniting anti-FGM efforts, this project strengthens husbands’ and mothers’ clubs, builds medico-legal knowledge, and trains community-level leaders to coordinate FGM eradication strategies.
Duration: August – November 2025
Location: Bakeh-Loko Chiefdom, Port Loko District
Objectives:
o Support husbands’ and mothers’ clubs in anti-FGM advocacy.
o Provide medico-legal training for professionals.
o Empower community trainers to lead awareness campaigns.
Key Activities:
o Capacity-building for 60 husbands’ and mothers’ clubs.
o Training for medical staff, police, and legal practitioners.
o Chiefdom committee meetings.
o Training of trainers on the FGM manual.
Beneficiaries: Families, community leaders, health and legal professionals.
Expected Outcomes: Stronger coordination for zero tolerance of FGM.

Project 3: Cotswold Foundation – Tonkolili
Overview:
This project addresses harmful traditional practices by equipping youth and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to fight against FGM and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Duration: September – November 2025
Location: Konikay-Fulawusu Chiefdom, Tonkolili District
Objectives:
o Train chiefdom stakeholders on FGM and GBV prevention.
o Empower youth to become agents of change.
Key Activities:
o Training of 50 stakeholders.
o Training of 50 youths (male and female).
Beneficiaries: Youth, traditional leaders, and wider communities.
Expected Outcomes: Increased youth engagement and stronger community leadership against FGM and GBV.

Project 4: Livelihood Support for Rural Women
Overview:
This initiative enhances women’s economic resilience by establishing and monitoring Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).
Duration: September – December 2025
Location: Koya (Port Loko) & Konikay-Fulawusu (Tonkolili) Chiefdoms
Objectives:
o Train women in VSLA practices.
o Strengthen women’s financial independence.
Key Activities:
o Establishment and training of 5 VSLA groups (125 women).
o Monitoring of 25 existing VSLA groups.
Beneficiaries: Rural women and their families.
Expected Outcomes: Increased savings, improved household income, and women’s empowerment.

Project 5: Monitoring & Psychosocial Support
Overview:
This project provides continuous support to school clubs of influence and orphaned children in care centers, ensuring psychosocial well-being and empowerment.
Duration: September – December 2025
Location: Bakeh-Loko & Maforki Chiefdoms; Rolal II Community (Port Loko)
Objectives:
o Strengthen school clubs of influence.
o Provide psychosocial care for orphaned children.
Key Activities:
o Support for school clubs’ anti-FGM activities.
o Routine monitoring and psychosocial support at the orphanage.
Beneficiaries: School children, orphaned children, and caregivers.
Expected Outcomes: Improved psychosocial well-being and active school clubs leading anti-FGM initiatives.
